So this isn't exactly a wedding ring but one that deserves to be in this catalogue more than any of the others. A combination of a two wedding rings and an engagement ring, this momento mori ring culminates over 40 years of love and complete devotion. 

I was asked by a dear friend of mine to combine these rings after she had lost her husband to cancer in 2007. The diamonds were from her engagement ring, the metal from the bands and the engravings around the circumference are the dates of life, death and marriage with the top engraving intertwining their initials, P&S. The top portion rotates to reveal the diamonds on one side; 8 diamonds surrounding 1 large, symbolizing the cycle of life and death and the rise and fall of the moon and turns to expose the hand engraving on the opposite side. Every inch of this ring was hand fabricated, polished, set and engraved with love and admiration.
